- Industrial-grade standard: Typically ranges from 28% to 30% (by mass). Higher Al₂O₃ content enhances coagulation efficiency.
- Function: Facilitates rapid floc formation, effectively adsorbing suspended solids, colloids, and organic matter in water.
Basicity (Degree of Polymerization)
- Range: Generally 40% to 90% (calculated as OH⁻/3Al³⁺ ratio), with an optimal range of 50% to 80%.
- Impact: Higher basicity improves polymerization and flocculation speed, but excessive values may compromise stability.
