• Dissolution: Dissolve aluminum sulfate powder in water in a specific ratio to prepare a solution.
• Dosing: Add the solution to the water to be treated using a metering pump. The dosage is determined based on water quality and experimental results.

• Rapid Mixing: Use mechanical or hydraulic stirring to quickly disperse the aluminum sulfate and allow it to come into contact with suspended solids and colloidal particles in the water.

• Charge Neutralization: Aluminum sulfate hydrolyzes to form positively charged aluminum hydroxide colloids, which neutralize the negatively charged suspended solids and colloidal particles in the water, causing them to destabilize.
• Adsorption and Bridging: The aluminum hydroxide colloids aggregate small particles into larger ones through adsorption and bridging effects.

• Slow Stirring: Promote further growth of flocs through gentle stirring, making them easier to settle or filter in subsequent steps.

• Sedimentation: Flocs settle in the sedimentation tank due to gravity, separating from the water.
• Filtration: Remaining fine flocs are further removed through filtration.

• Turbidity Removal: Effectively reduces turbidity in water by removing suspended solids and colloidal particles.
• Color Removal: Removes some organic pollutants, improving water color.
• Partial Organic Matter Removal: Adsorbs and removes some organic matter.
• Phosphorus Removal: Reacts with phosphates to form precipitates, reducing phosphorus content in water.
