17% iron free aluminum sulfate
There are two types, anhydrous aluminum sulfate and octadecahydrate aluminum sulfate. Under normal conditions, it is AL2(SO4)3·18H2O; AL2(SO4)3·14H2O after flowering, can be white powder, crystal flake or crystalline flake, odorless, sweet to slightly bitter.

The characteristics of strengthening treatment of landfill leachate were studied by using aluminum sulfate as flocculant. The effects of dosage of flocculant, acidity of landfill leachate and temperature on the flocculation of municipal landfill leachate were discussed. The results show that the appropriate amount of aluminum sulfate is about 0.5% during the flocculation of landfill leachate. Acidity and temperature in the process of flocculation have a great impact on the flocculation effect of landfill leachate. Selecting suitable acidity and temperature for different types of landfill leachate and affiliated resources can reduce the load and treatment cost of subsequent treatment process. At room temperature, in the process of flocculating landfill leachate with aluminum sulfate, the best treatment effect is around pH=6.5.
